Implementation Process

We can be flexible regarding the speed and method in which we can implement your newly outsourced FP&A system.

In general, the closer your chosen FP&A objectives are to the data that is currently available in your organization, the smoother the implementation process will go, and implementing new FP&A objectives on a step-change basis is usually recommended.

Please reach out to us is you have questions regarding implementation, there is no one-size fits all solution.

Also, please see links below to get a sense of what to expect during the implementation process, as well some best practices to consider.

Hybrid In-House / Outsourced FPA& Systems

The degree to which FP&A activities are already in place at your organization will not only help the implementation process, but it will also strengthen the overall quality of your FP&A system.

If your existing FP&A processes are working well there is no need to decommission them. They can be ran in-parallel with DHAC's systems.

In-house FP&A processes are generally integrated into the outsourced FP&A system by using one or a combination of the three methods outlines below:

Treating the output of an in-house system as an input to the outsourced system

Keeping detailed data in the in-house system and summarized data in the outsourced system.

Scoping out specific FP&A objectives, or specific views to be ran with the in-house system

Is the Process Flexible?

Implementing new FP&A objectives, and refining the reporting package should happen on a regular basis and is evidence of a well-functioning FP&A process. How we go about brining your FP&A objectives to life involves:

Frame 2147226961 (1).png

Changing or adding FP&A objectives or views (pages in the reporting package)

Frame 2147226961 (1).png

Requesting more data or business preformance metircs

Frame 2147226961 (1).png

Re-structure existing non-GAAP data

But how to go about using the mechanisms above, how to create a reporting package that meets your organization's needs, is where we come in and rely on our extensive FP&A experience to bring your ideas to reality.

Does the Process Run Smoothly?

We have developed our firm with two main objectives in mind:

To provide the highest quality FP&A reporting available to small and mid-sized business in Ontario on an outsourced basis

To minimize the time and effort required from our clients to support the FP&A process

    • Reduce the time required to comprehend the "what", and free up time to focus on the "why", and the actions items.

    • Time saving recommendations for forecasted data, to forecast using a rules-based approach or re-use previously submitted info to DHAC.

    • Various reviews tools, so when you click "submit" you know the data is right.

    • Based on virtual machines running in Microsoft Azure, a powerful yet easy to use method to interface directly with DHAC's systems and databases.
